ost frequently asked questions.\nIf you have a high schooler that is approa
ching the launch into independence\, then the “Loving Push” is an absol

ith psychologist and autism specialist\, Dr. Debra Moore\, to outline the
“must-dos” for parents to help their child with autism build hope\, mot
ivation\, and success! Dr. Grandin credits the loving pushes that her mothe
r provided to her during her childhood and adolescence to be one of the key
factors in her life success and in this book she shares with you how to do
the same for your child!\nJoin UCF CARD Autism Disorders Specialist\, Jenn
ifer Collins\, in reading and discussing the book with other parents. We wi
ll discuss reactions to the book\, strategies outlined\, and how to put all
of this into practice with your own child.\nThe book study will meet for 5
discussion sessions on the following Wednesdays: 10/21\, 10/28\, 11/4\, 11
/11 & 11/18. Before the first meeting on 1 0/21\, parents will be expected
to have acquired a copy of the book and read the assigned pages (you will r
eceive an email after registration closes for more information about the as
signed reading). It is expected that participants will come prepared to dis
cuss and will have their cameras on\, as this is an interactive discussion
group.\nPlease note that there are two editions of this book. We will be us

t cover). UCF CARD does have copies of this book that can be borrowed from
our office if purchasing is cost prohibitive. The book is also available on
