This is an Orange County resource fair in partnership with Children’s Safety Village! We will be joined by our ASD Specialist friends from UCF CARD, local first responders, and other community organizations who provide resources for children, teens, and adults on the spectrum, as well as parents/caregivers.

Safety Day is a one-of-a-kind, hands-on community experience designed specifically for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. Safety Day provides hands-on, sensory-rich, visually supported learning opportunities through:

• interactive workshops,
• live demonstrations, and
• guided experiences with community professionals,
• practice of real-life skills in a safe, supportive environment.
• welcoming environment where families can learn, ask questions, and build confidence

Impact – over 300 participants in 2025

– Law enforcement officers shared that the event was their first meaningful interaction with individuals on the spectrum, reshaping how they will respond in the future.

– Participants described meeting a firefighter as “like meeting a celebrity.”

– Parents expressed gratitude for being “around other special needs families and not feeling judged.”

– Sponsors shared that the event was like “meeting the community.”
